Which may be a whole different type of adventure but not one I was certain you would be clambering to read about.Īdmitting that I was wrong (that won’t get in print very often) and that I judged the Red Deer book by it’s gas station cover, is what I am now humbly doing. In our earlier days the scene would include a small child either clawing at the car window at the hopes of a fast food snack or a desperate rush for a rest room break with a small squirming passenger tucked under a parental arm. The row of road side eateries and gas stations being aptly named Gasoline Alley. ![]() Now I am usually open to most anything, but for decades the city of Red Deer has meant merely a rest stop on the busy Queen Elizabeth highway en-route from Calgary to Edmonton. Like playing solitaire for 48 hours kind of fun went through my head. “Well we could check out what else Red Deer has to offer. I looked at my husband as though he had suggested we count the blades of grass on the front lawn for excitement.
